Fix or buy new/refurbished

Ive got an early 2011 13 inch MBP 2.7ghz that the screen just died on. Should I fix it or go with a 2016 rMB. Im totally fine with waiting for it to be refurbished (thats how I've bought all my apple computers and have never had an issue). I don't need any more computing power than my 2011 MBP and I like the super portability of the rMB. Any thoughts?
