future of primary care?

is midlevel encroachment reason enough to stay out of PC? if PA/NPs can handle most of what PCPs do, what incentive do the majority of people have to see an MD/ DO over a midlevel?

can any MD/DO PCPs comment on how primary care is evolving and what it might look like in the future.

personally, i think being a PCP would be a really rewarding field of medicine to enter. however, i will also graduate with 300K in loans and i don't want to spend near a decade of training to do a job that can also be done with an online degree/ 2 years training
