[Question] Do People Compliment Your Nice Watches?

I'm looking to spend between 3-5k for something nice, and I currently only own one low end watch that people will ask where it's from but not say much more about it.

I'm wondering - do people take note and say anything about your nicer (read: more expensive) watches? Or are they mostly glanced over or ignored?

At the end of the day, I know all that matters is you are happy with your watch because you are the one who wears it, but I would argue that some point of a nice watch is to be seen wearing it and get some sort of recognition for it. Nowadays you can see some really sharp looking watches for under $500 that look just as good or better than some 5k watches and I'm wondering if it's even possible to have one that stands out from the pack in the most positive way in a crowd of average people.
