[MODPOST] Welcome to /r/IndustrialRevPowers!

When this post is put up, the game will have started. So, I feel it is only right to both announce the start of the game and give a little rundown of what the game is all about!

r/IndustrialRevPowers is a game [obviously] set in the Industrial Revolution era. The point of the game is to have fun, so instead of being sticklers for realism, we're gonna have a relaxed outlook on it. Good roleplay is more important to us than historically accurate gameplay, but do not be afraid to go down the historical route if you want to!

The sheets are made for fun and have several mechanics to provide large, powerful economies for most nations throughout the game. Factories should obviously be a focus if you want to compete with other nations economically, but do be careful of over-industrialising and endangering a sheer drop in demand or a staggering rise in costs. Sheets should be given out to all nations by the end of today, or at most by the end of tomorrow.

Other than that, the most important thing is to remember that this is just a game. While enthusiasm is definitely encouraged, please do not get so overenthusiastic that you hurt the experience of the game for other players.

And finally, do keep in mind both the rules. They are always to be followed. Also, come in to our IRC channel and say hello and have a little chat!
