How to get this feature of OneNote back?

I used to have this on my Old Surface Pro 3.

I had to buy a new one, installed Office 2016 (instead of 2013... Dumb dumb me) and I miss this feature the most. On that, I used to press (windows key + N, then s) but with this it's Windows Key + Shift + S which is rather awkward to press. How can I change it back? How can I get back this thing?

Is the only way to get it by downgrading my Office? How do I do this, if so? I'd prefer not to, because I don't want to (accidentally) lose data lol.
