Anyone else feel this way?

I don't know what the consensus is around here. I haven't been on this sub for a while.

I personally did not like Suicide Squad very much. Mostly, my problem lies with Joker and Harley; I thought they were dreadful. I never thought they could be the worst part of any movie, but they really were for me.

It saddens me now to think this is the Joker that will fight Batman in the following movies.

I find myself really hoping that Leto will not appear in the solo Batman movie.

As a huge fan of both characters, I should be thrilled at the idea that, for the first time ever, the two will face each other in several movies. Instead, I just want Affleck to face every other villain.

Because I honestly feel this Joker is terrible and is laughable next to Affleck's Batman.

I do not want to sound bitchy, I am sad. Does anyone else feel the same? Anyone else wish the Joker was completely different?

I realize future movies may try to fix what SS did wrong (if they, indeed believe it's wrong), but I really think they made mistakes so big they will be hard to fix without it feeling like a total retcon.

I'm sure a lot of people disagree and loved Leto. Newcomers and long time fans alike. And that's great, I'm happy for you.

I was just wondering how common my opinion is.

Edit: I really, really want to stress that I am not here to pick a fight. I just want 1) to see how many people feel the same way among the DC fanbase and 2) to understand why people did like Leto, since I just cannot manage to myself. Please let's have a nice discussion and not just a downvote fest.
