[Serial] The Emperor, Issue 1- Feedback wanted

This is my first serial ever, so I would appreciate some comments/feedback on how my style suits the medium, as well as how engaging the writing is so far.

Edit: Also, if anyone knows how I could expand my readership (i.e. other subs to ask for feedback in, forums I could explore/directories that are friendly to new serials) I'd greatly appreciate the advice
