Looking to buy in Broadripple

Hey my husband and I are looking to buy in BroAdripple. I'm from Chicago and he's lived in Castelton since college. We're getting a lot of listings from our realtor, and I'm looking for an honest real idea of where to buy. I'm 27 he's 30. Not much into bars but I work in Carmel and he works downtown. We will probably wait 5 years or so for a family so we're not super concerned about schools yet. Just looking for somewhere safe to live with good neighbors. We love a house at 43rd and Critteden, but my husband says too close to Keystone and too far south. Thoughts?
