[Question] Longevity of Orient Bambino's case plating

Hey r/watches.

Recently I've been thinking about buying a Bambino (the v2) as my first mechanical watch. I'm torn between the silver/rose gold and the yellow gold version, but if I were to choose the gold variant, I'd have my doubts about the gold plated case. I'm new to watches but I figure that the cheaper watches have inferior finish and the layer of gold is quite thin, so basically I'm wondering whether it won't look crap in a few months.

Now I know there's lots of information on this particular watch that can be found on this sub, but I was unable to find a definite answer to my question. I also couldn't find many photos of gold Bambinos on this sub.

And I know the yellow gold variant isn't exactly the smartest choice for a first/main watch in casual settings. But for now, it's just too gorgeous to give up. Appreciate any CMV's though.

Thanks in advance and I'm glad to have found this subreddit, because I've only just realized that watches are beautiful, even if for the time being I can simply look at photos of them!
