Need some advice on mouse sensitivity.

So I play on 1000 dpi and average 3 sensitivity, however, what I hear is most people play at much lower sensitivity. However when I try lower sensitivity, such as 1.5-2 at 1000 dpi, I do much worse.

Anybody have any suggestions? I'm not sure what to do as I realized a couple of days ago this sensitivity is really high.
