Summoned for Jury Duty, what can I expect?

Hi r/Sydney!

I received a summons for juror and will have to appear in court in about a months time for what is stated to be an eight week trial. This is my first summons, and I'm very excited at the prospect of being on the jury.

I've read that I'm only part of the way there, and that there will be a further selection process that will occur in court. Has anyone here served Jury duty in Sydney, and what was the process like?
