A new idea about starters!
Since I was fooling around the Internet for a really, really long time ago, like 3 years or something, I've found that there was a Mystery Dungeon for WiiWare, and many people said it was mediocre, so I went to look at Bulbapedia, then reached to this point:
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Mystery_Dungeon_(WiiWare) (Look at the playable characters section)
Then an idea popped out of my mind, then I said: "whynaut do it?"
If the so-called Mystery Dungeon had 3 titles, why not fuse the 3 titles into one?
Observe: At the end of the personality test, before the game asks your gender, it will ask your favorite color, of which you can pick either of these 4:
Then, the game would show you a set of Pokémon that have that colour, or similar ones, for example, if you picked Green, you would have to pick either Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, etc., If you picked Red, you can be a charmander, a Cyndaquil, Torchic...
Here's the set of starters, 16 for each colour, making like 64 options, updated to the date with Sun/Moon:
Green: Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, Snivy, Chespin, Rowlet, Machop, Larvitar, Kirlia, Electrike, Trapinch, Munchlax, Axew, Skiddo and Fomantis.
Red: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Torchic, Chimchar, Tepig, Fennekin, Litten, Vulpix, Growlithe, Eevee, Skitty, Buizel, Zorua, Darumaka, Tyrunt and Stufful.
Blue: Squirtle, Totodile, Mudkip, Piplup, Oshawott, Froakie, Popplio, Azurill, Phanpy, Bagon, Shinx, Riolu, Minccino, Espurr, Noibat and Amaura.
Yellow: Pichu, Sandshrew, Meowth, Psyduck, Cubone, Togepi, Mareep, Elekid, Teddiursa, Buneary, Blitzle, Deerling, Scraggy, Mienfoo, Heliptile and Rockruff.
You can pick your partner, you can even change the set of starters! Plus every starter is available for both genders.
