CEU Blog posts

So looking at the continuing ed for Security+, I can get 16 of the 50 needed units by writing security related blog posts. Can I seriously set up a blog, write about various security topics and get 16 credits?

I'm certainly not schneier on security here, a 500 word blog post that probably no one will read seems too good to be true to get a credit.
