Motherboard Died Need Options For Getting Windows Back on New Build W/ Old HD.

My old computer's motherboard is out of commission, so I am salvaging what I can and building a new unit. I want to use the old Hard Drive and was wondering if it is possible, even if through Windows support to transfer my windows to this new motherboard chipset. All the articles I've seen have instructed methods that involved a working computer. Any ideas?
