Lightroom: how can I import a Photos library from OS X (using a Windows machine).

Hello askphotography,

I'm new to Lightroom and want to get my OS X photos (from the Photos app) into it. The Photos library is on an old 2008 MacBook Pro. Lightroom is installed on my PC. What are my options? Ideally I'd like to avoid installing Lightroom on my old MBP as I'm sharing my brother's CC license with a max of 2 installs (sue me). It's also a very slow machine; if it's necessary I will but I'd rather not.

I realise that edits from Photos might not be preservable but if so that would be great!
