Bought out by corporate

I'm posting this mainly to seek out sympathy but any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

I work for a popular regional sports bar chain which has been franchised for the past 6 years. 2 weeks ago we were sold back to corporate.

There have been so many changes made by people who said "if it ain't broke we're not gonna fix it" and let me tell you plenty of totally functional things have been fixed.

My new GM had a little come to Jesus with me while we were smoking one night and he said some days I'm gonna come in and wanna quit, but it will eventually all smooth out.

I trust these guys and over the past 3 weeks have to grow to like them, but it is so frustrating having everything I knew and was used to doing get turned upside down. I feel like an old dog learning new tricks and while I'm not scared for my job (last in, first out doesn't apply to a 4 year vet) I can't help but feel like they're breathing down my neck.

Has anyone else experienced a huge management shift like this? Any advice on how to best grin and bear it?
