Modding a longshot glue questions

Hey all, I'm integrating some LEDs into my longshot having issues glueing the vinyl pipes to the vinyl led covers, hot glue just won't hold. I have some hardcore industrial glue but would rather use the hot gule as I think the Indy glue is gonna melt the vinyl.

Any tips on getting the hot glue to stick?
