Incheon kept my ARC!

I went back home to visit for a while. While at the Incheon airport they asked if I plan on coming back. I said yeah but I don't know when exactly (my would expire on October 16th). So they decided to keep my ARC. I understand this cancels my E-2 visa.

How will this affect getting another job? A recruiter told me my docs are still good for 3 months, it'll just take a little more time to hire me. Thanks!
