New to DJ - Need a bike

I've been having a blast hitting some dirt jumps in between weekend trail riding and I'm thinking it's time I buy a DJ bike. I'd like to stay around $600 if possible. I'm also hoping it will be a bike that I can play around the street on. The only problem is I have no idea what I'm looking for when it comes to DJ bikes. I'm 6'5 240 and any advice you can offer is greatly appreciated. I currently ride an XL frame 150mm full suspension carbon trail bike and although it's fun it definitely is not efficient.
