How will capitalism survive full automation?
I'm a Computer Science student learning machine learning and artificial intelligence, because I believe the future of humanity and the next step of evolution will be becoming one with computers (see: singularity)
I've been struggling with the idea of the full automation of the workforce being compatible with capitalism. If everything is manufactured and produced by robots, then there would be no way to create wealth more efficiently than the robot and thus no competition. Unless of course you were an engineer to upgrade or maintain these robots. But not everyone has a STEM mindset.
This would cause a huge wealth disparity, and thus larger number of poor and eventually an uprising of the poor to initiate force and steal our capital. Basically an all out war. I have to be missing something, can someone help me out here?
Note: It may come off this way, but I'm not some liberal shill. I'm a hardcore libertarian wondering if my career path will be a cause in the end of liberty
