Sex is a Business Transaction

The title seems to allude to a far more gruesome post than what I mean to write so hopefully It didn't turn too many people away.

In many ways, the title holds true but in more of an analogical sense. Think of a sexual encounter, many aspects of it are identical to a business transaction in sequencing and significance. Let's start at the beginning (assuming we've done the grunt work of getting to the actual sexual encounter).

Usually (I must reiterate USUALLY) a sexual encounter will begin with a kiss. I like to think of this in tandem with the opening handshake and rapport of a business transaction. They are both very simple practices fundamentally and you look quite silly if you are bad at it. What holds true with the beginning ,as does every step of both a sexual encounter and a business transaction, is that it usually is the determining factor of whether you get to the next phase.

Now you have shaken hands, exchanged pleasantries, inquired about some mutual interest, now you must start the investigation phase or questioning phase. Where are your services going to align with your potential customer's needs? This might be your opportunity to see if you can explore more than just their lips. They might have already grabbed your hands and placed them where you want. Some people really need the service your company provides and you don't even need to sell them on it.

Assuming you've used proper exploratory procedures you know exactly what solution you are going to purpose to your potential customer. It will be one that benefits both parties as much as possible. The solution could take a bit of time to craft though. Sometimes a negotiation process must happen. A series of propositions takes place. Each with one party gaining, but to which side was the deal favoring more?

Think of how often things can escalate, slow down, and shift when you're with someone. There is often a period where you aim to find the most pleasing scenario through trial and error.

But then it happens. A deal is struck, and both parties find the most suiting scenarios each gaining the maximum potential and profiting in some capacity.

...The Orgasm.

Now this is a fairly smooth and I suppose ideal scenario analogy. The business is not always easily gained, and sometimes it isn't at all. the process might be halfway through and someone drops the ball and both parties lose. This also does not account for various peculiar preferences in the sexual arena so no, this is not a perfect model. I do hope it makes sense to some and next time you are in one of these scenarios just remember its only business. Also no I am not Robert California.
