[SHITPOST THEORY] Why SU Hasn't Been Renewed Yet

So we're currently stuck in renewal limbo with regards to past Season 5. I think there's a reason for that.

First note: SU is still the most popular show on CN, and merch is coming out the wazoo, but it's all of YOUNG STEVEN. And the audience has slowly grown up with him, and they'll go from 10 year olds loving it to 13 year olds looking for something edgier...

Second: Steven will probably be around 15 by the end of Season 4, much less season 5, yet he's still a butterball.

Third: We now know of intergalactic space travel, wars and an empire...

Fourth: SU references anime everywhere, and we all know what Anime does...

Steven Universe will have a timeskip after Season 5 where Punished Teenage Steven has to decide whether to lead the Crystal Gems in protecting Earth or try and liberate the other planets in the galaxy that are under Homeworld control to stop them building an army and zerg-rushing Earth. Upcoming episodes revolve around how he has to work out why his girlfriend Connie is a better intergalactic fighter than him, how the hell to stop a new planet from being invaded by Homeworld and being hollowed out, and a musical episode about how many sci-fi shows we're ripping off.
