Ryze 'R' Cancel Bug [Feature??]

Video

The above video demonstrates that Ryze can stop himself from traveling through his portal by recalling or teleporting. He doesn't CANCEL the ult itself, he just stops himself from going through. Allies can still travel in it if ryze recalls, and allies themselves can recall too to stop from going through it.

I believe this MAY be a feature by riot to prevent people from trolling their teammates who are in the process of recalling/teleporting or maybe just a product of spaghetti code. Either way, confirmation from Riot would be nice. Currently, the bug could be used in scenario to sike out your opponent and make them guess whether they should run towards you or towards the portal. You can decide where you come out if you recall or not. I'm sure there are other creative ways to abuse this bug.
