7 Jolteons in a row... Eevolution stuck or RNG?

Hi all, so as the title says I have had a weird string of Jolteons. Normally I would assume this was just RNG but because of the naming trick (and the rough roll out of the game in general), I wonder if something in the game didn't glitch.

In addition, the odds of getting 7 in a row is 0.045% which seems pretty unlikely. I'm wondering if anyone has had anything like this or if it really is a glitch? I was thinking I might force a Pyro (even though I already have a Flareon and don't want one) to see if it will break the cycle.

Here's how all of my eevolutions went:

1. Rainer -> Vaporeon (Water Pulse...)

2. Rainer -> Flareon

3. Eevee -> Jolteon

4. 10km egg -> Eevee -> Jolteon =(

5. Eevee -> Jolteon

6. Rainer -> Jolteon

7. 10km egg -> Eevee -> Jolteon =*(

8. Eevee -> Jolteon

9. Rainer -> Jolteon

Needless to say it's been pretty frustrating. Just curious if anyone else had something like this happen and if my idea to force a Flareon is a good idea or just another waste of 25 candies. Thoughts?

P.S. I caught one in the wild which is the 8th. Also, I know that screen doesn't prove they were in a row but I don't really have any reason to lie about it.
