Assyrians and Kurds
As an American-Assyrian I am very curious to see what a majority of Kurds think about Assyrians especially in areas that Kurds and Assyrians share. Both my parents are Assyrian and my dad being from Iraq originally doesn't have any distrust of Kurds or ill feelings but it seems that when I look anywhere on youtube or twitter or anywhere else it's just a bunch of Assyrians and Kurds name calling each other. The only info I hear seems to always be one sided with one group of people telling me that I am foolish to think Kurds hold the Assyrians best interests at heart and the other saying Assyrians need to stay away from the Iraqi government because they have done nothing for Assyrians. Are Assyrians and Kurds just as divided in Iraq and Syria? Not sure who's telling the truth over here because people are either VERYYYYY supportive of Kurdish people in general (I say people rather than governments because they always have a seperate interest that usually doesn't benefit any people other than a small minority) or people that think the Kurds are trying to erradicate Assyrians from their homeland once and for all.
