[Dreamcast][1996-2003]Adventure(?) game in Tips&Tricks magazine

PS1:Threads of Fate

Platform(s): Dreamcast, maybe not. Edit: PS1 is the real system. Genre: Adventure?, action-adventure? Estimated year of release: between 1996-2003 Graphics/art style: fixed camera and 3rd person camera Notable characters: names unknown, but 1st playthrough the PC is a sword wielder, I don't remember any abilities he had, but he had something. The 2nd, he could transform into a set amount(5?, 6,) of any enemy, even bosses, and he'd use that to get around and solve puzzles.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Aside from above, If, IF, I remember right, there were 3 bosses named Lock, Stock, and Barrel. There was one boss that chased you upstairs, and at the top, he falls to the bottom, where you can get an item from his body, but only in the one playthrough. One of the last bosses was a gold dragon.

The magazine implied there were other PC's, after you beat the game more than twice, and included images of what they looked like. Once was a pirate girl, with orange hair, and a striped shirt. There was one sidequest and when you got to the end, you'ed get a sword, shield, and helmet, which could be used in the town's inn's kitchen to make a buffing food.

Other details:

I think the game was in the 2002 November issue of Tips and Tricks, as that was the only one I remember throwing out. The 1st playthrough walkthrough writing was in blue, the 2nd was in pink. At least, the issue was from 2002 and before, as I didn't own many tips and tricks over the years, maybe 14 total.

I believe I'd recognize it if I could see the page of the magazine again.
