How should sermons relate to our devotional life?

Sermons, as part of the means of grace, are meant to be listened to primarily in the context of a congregation, and not an individual since they're supposed to echo God's word in preaching as the derivative word for the needs of the local congregation. So I've been wondering what do you think is the proper place of sermon recordings in our devotional life?
