To fix vpk's that refuse to install.
===== NOTE
AS OF THE OFFICIAL RELEASE OF VITAMIN, THIS THREAD HAS BEEN MADE IRRELEVANT. ORIGINALLY THIS THREAD WAS TO TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WITH THE LEAKED PRE-RELEASE VERSION OF VITAMIN.
The problem that occurs is that the param.sfo is possibly corrupt. An easy way to resolve this is to create a new file to replace the existing inside the vpk file.
If you have PSDK3v3 installed on your computer; you will have to run a command to create a new file using a homebrew param.sfo as the base(not specific). Place such file in the
"C:\PSDK3v3\MinGW\msys\1.0\home\USERNAME\output" directory and use the following command.
vita-mksfoex -s TITLE_ID=XXXXXXXXX "Game Name Here" output/param.sfo
And If you get an error create the output folder and put the base param.sfo (any homebrew) in that folder.
Anyway once thats done and you have ran the command all that is left to do is to replace the existing param.sfo in the backup/pirated game. Use 7zip to extract the vpk file; replace rebuild then install.
(cleaned it up a bit) dam_
