The Royal Catfight Series - Introduction and Voting

Casual

Many of you probably remember the Royal Slapfight Series, the just-for-fun trash-talk series dedicated to delivering sick burns upon our favourite lords. Several people were killed in a crossfire filled with disses so sick that they brought a tear to your eye, and Leif ultimately claimed victory.

Due to popular demand (i.e. like two people suggesting it in the Discord chat), I now introduce the Royal Catfight Series, following the same format but with the series' leading ladies (and lads) instead of the lords themselves.

"But Laq, doesn't qualifying these units in terms of their (generally male) partners reduce their value as characters, especially since you've chosen to name this thing a 'catfight'?"

Whoa whoa whoa, that's a bit too much critical thinking for this series.

Here's how this is going to work: since there are only like four canon lord pairings, the rest of the bracket will be determined via strawpoll in this thread. Vote for whoever you believe is the best fit, closest to canon or just your favourite partner for each lord, and the highest-voted will be entered into the bracket.

Marth: Caeda
Alm: Celica (technically a lord, but she wasn't included in the RSS)
Sigurd: Deirdre
Seliph: Vote here. Nanna excluded, and if you guys pick Julia I'm gonna be super mad.
Leif: Nanna
Roy: Vote here.
Eliwood: Vote here. Lyn excluded.
Hector: Vote here. Lyn excluded.
Lyn: Vote here. Eliwood and Hector excluded (fixed to add Kent).
Ephraim: Vote here. Eirika excluded, you sick bastard.
Eirika: Vote here. Ditto the above.
Ike: Vote here. Please just vote and don't complain about the outcome, because Ike's romantic partner or laq thereof is like the biggest can of worms that the sub's ever seen.
Micaiah: Sothe
Chrom: Vote here. I really want to exclude Robin but technically can't.
Corrin: Uhh... v-vote here, I guess.

That leaves us with 15 characters, so we can either have a messy bracket or throw in another one as a wildcard. I'm open to suggestions.

Again, once we get rolling the format will be the same as the Royal Slapfight Series - higher-effort comments (with sicker burns) will be given more weight than low-effort ones, and as we progress to later rounds, certain arguments will be banned.

I'll post the bracket at 2pm EST tomorrow to give people time to prepare their arguments. See you then (and in the comments when people inevitably complain about the choices in the strawpolls)!
