"A poor man who spends night and day counting his neighbor’s wealth but gains not even half a coin." Is Ikeda confused on this point??

That line about "counting your neighbor's wealth" comes from Nichiren Daishonin himself, but it appears to me that Ikeda is too dimwitted and thick-headed to understand.

Why, you ask? How could I say such a thing about the world's greatest mentoar???

Here's why: Whenever we hear about Ikeda spending SGI's money like it's his own personal piggy bank, buying up rare manuscripts or expensive artworks or whatnot, we're told that "Sensei said, 'These are yours - I purchased them for you'". And we culties were supposed to feel that these rare treasures were truly ours, even though we'd never have a chance to see them for ourselves, not in any capacity different from any other member of the public who was allowed to see them under specific circumstances.

So Ikeda braggy brags about all the shwag he's buying up around the world - for us O_O

I don't remember him asking any of us if we wanted OUR DONATIONS spent on that! But he says he bought it all for us, so that's supposed to make it okay for him to do it all on his own initiative without even checking with us?? Whatever happened to "Leaders are the servants of the members"?? So far, Ikeda hasn't done DIDDLY to serve me - or anyone! It's all nothing but manipulative, self-serving, meaningless twaddle!

And at the end of the day, I still don't have any masterpieces of my own or rare manuscripts or masters' artworks. And that was the whole point of Nichiren's statement - that it doesn't matter what someone else has; what matter is what WE OURSELVES have. And in the SGI, the members have nothing O_O
