The Royal Catfight Series, Round 1: Nanna vs. Lilina

Casual

(For future reference, the remaining four matches in Round 1 will all be posted daily at this time, 3 p.m. EST.)

One point that I want to make clear (which I’ll reiterate in each subsequent thread and the Round 1 Wrap-Up Thread): you do not need to argue for each character in the context of their romantic relationship with a lord. You certainly can, but if you wanted to use Sumia’s supports with Henry or Elincia’s relationship with Geoffrey as an argument while ignoring their supposedly “more canon” romances with Chrom or Ike, go right ahead. And then, of course, you can just talk about the character on their own merit as if they truly were a strong independent unit who doesn’t need no support partner.

That said, today we approach the halfway mark of our high-stakes trash-talk series with two rather unique characters in the scope of the tournament as a whole - our only troubadour versus our only straight-up anima mage.

This match is between Nanna from Genealogy of the Holy War and Thracia 776, and Lilina from Binding Blade.

Rules

  1. Be civil to each other. Trash-talking the participants is fine, but trash-talking other users is a dick move. This whole thing is supposed to be about having fun, and it defeats the whole purpose if people choose to be rude or salty.

  2. Tag your major spoilers. Especially for Fates and games with major spoil-able plot points - you probably know the ones I’m talking about.

  3. There are no stupid arguments. Any argument will earn you points, as long as there’s effort put into it. If your favourite character is facing a seemingly-unbeatable opponent, get unconventional: rather than talking about the merit of their character, talk about how they’re a better unit, or vice versa. Insult their partner, insult their hairdo! Just remember to keep it all in good fun.

  4. Upvote indiscriminately! All comments will be considered when determining each match’s winner, regardless of the upvote distribution, so you might as well spread the love around.
