New Weekly Segment for the sub. Fan Art Fridays!

Hey everyone! New mod here! I don't think I got a chance to properly introduce myself. I'm ShbeblyTheGreat, but if that's too long for you then you can call me Shemp. I'm head mod over at r/GameGrumps and r/Spyro too. r/Spyro is where I'm the most active. I like creating content for YouTube and I'm currently doing some college garbage.

But here's the deal! Over on r/Spyro we had this segment (Fan Art Fridays) every Friday. Essentially people would just draw some fan art of Spyro and post it in that weeks thread, and from then on others would tell people what they liked about their drawings and what they could improve. Some friendly criticism! But art activity on the sub has kind of died down, so it was put on hiatus. I got in contact with the other mods and proposed moving it over to here! So here are the rules!

Starting every Friday, the subreddit will now host Fan Art Fridays!

Each week will be a standard submission of fan art staring whichever version of Sonic you prefer. But, certain weeks will have special events. Meaning, there will be a theme. For example, some Fan Art Fridays will be feature a Holiday theme, Birthday theme, Theme involving another Video Game Franchise, Mood theme, etc. And sometimes there will also be prizes! Like a Steam code for a game or something like that! If there is no specific theme for that week, then feel free to post any kind of fan art. If there is a theme, I will post it the Sunday of that week!

Please pay attention to the rules!

Rules

• Must be original art. Do NOT use someone else's work as your own submission. If we find a submission that belongs to someone else, the result will be a temporary ban.

• Types of art that is accepted: Digital, Traditional, 3D, Rigged Models (Gmod, SFM, etc.), Painting, Tattoos, Screenshots touched up in Photoshop, and Comics.

• Types of art that is NOT accepted: MS Paint Drawings, Art that is stolen and/or tampered with, Edited official artwork (any recolors of official Sonic Team/SEGA artwork), and/or Clothing.

• No Rule34. We're maintaining a clean subreddit.

• No memes. Memes are not art in anyway. And honestly, we can just leave that to the Sonic Twitter.

• No bullying/harassment. If we find anything considered 'harassment', we will take action immediately. The consequences will be decided by the other mods and myself, but will most likely result in a temporary ban.

• Keep a friendly environment. Critiquing someone's art is perfectly fine, just don't go overboard and end up insulting them.

• No hardcore gore. Please, do not post anything extremely violent, resulting in death or mutilation. Light blood and scratches are fine. Just don't go overboard.

• If you're concerned about your art breaking any of the rules, please send a message to us mods with a brief description about why you're worried it will break what rule and a link to your submission. We'll have no problem working with you on what you can do to fix it or we'll give you special permission to submit it.

• To submit your art, just copy the link of you art and post it in the comments section of the most recent Fan Art Fridays thread.

• One submission per entry. If we see you posting more than one link, we will delete the most recent one.

Any rule that is broken upon submission will result in a temporary ban from the sub. If this continues, we will discuss the possibility of a permanent ban. If you have anymore questions or are confused about a rule, please contact the mods and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

The first official Fan Art Fridays thread will be posted next Friday!
