My review of 87 Jack Eichel

I tried this guy out in Draft champions for my under 25 team. Surprisingly, I swept all 4 games with an 87 overall squad against teams with the likes of Kane, Ovi and all their legend friends.

Skating:

Eichel isn't going to blow by anyone with his speed but like real life, he is very strong on the puck. He sort of plays similar to Ryan or Ovi in his puck control. Excellent cycling down low especially.

7/10

Shot:

Eichel can snipe! His wrister and his accuracy stood out for me. Get him in those hash marks and you have a goal most of the time. His one timer was pretty iffy in general.

9/10

Hands:

Eichel set up a ton of plays for me. He netted 7 assists in the 4 games I played with him. I played him with Panarin and boy did they have good chemistry together. Eichel was able to make space for Panarin to get into the tight spots and was able to set up Panarin for some nice one T's.

8/10

Checking:

Eichel is able to stand his own on the ice and laid quite a few good hits for me. He wasn't a huge physical presence but he also isn't going to fall like a leaf.

7.5/10

Defense:

Eichel was actually really good in his end. I played him on the pk and he was able to cut some passing lanes and clear the puck out better than most of the guys.

8/10

Verdict:

All in all I really dig Eichel and I now know I want him on my squad. I think he'd be best served as a winger but he does lots of little things right and is very fun to play with.

This is why I love draft champions. I was able to try a really young team and found they fit my playstyle perfectly. I think it might be something I put together later in the year. I know it wasn't super extensive but I hope you enjoyed my review guys!

Overall : 8/10
