92ovr Manny Malhotra review

Team Advice

I believe this is something that might be interesting to many of you so let's go:

I use Manny currently on my 1st line and he's currently 12+8 (+18) in 10 games. All games are online HUT games but keep in mind that since the divisions haven't set yet his scoresheet is a bit inflated. This just gives a hint how good he actually is. I also used him a few times in DC so I keep those experiences in mind too while writing this. Manny's attributes

Skating: 9/10

Just beautiful. Manny is fast, agile and doesn't seem to get tired which is something you want from a guy that could rock at least a bottom 6/PK guy role in everyone's roster later in the year. I can't give him a 10 because nobody's perfect.

Shooting: 9/10

Well what can I say. Just shoot! Clapper,wrister,backhand,forehand.. everything goes. I tried all of the best cards while grinding for Manny and he is just top tier. If I want to nitpick, then I'd say that his wrister could be a tad more accurate since he hit the post a few times.

Hands: 8/10

Grandpa has some sweet mittens. His dekes are good and passing is precise. I noticed that I could sauce with him REALLY well! And I really mean it. There's better passers and danglers in the game but he can compete with the best of them for sure.

Defense: 11/10

By far his best side is his defensive play. His face-off rating is 97, which is just bonkers. I don't think that I've lost more than 3 face-offs with him. Simply absurd, makes Bergeron look like a freaking pleb. Manny is always on the right spot in my end of the ice and when controlled by AI he doesn't know how to make a mistake. People say that you can't sticklift in this game but with Manny you can. If sticklifting and poke checking feels too mellow you can always just run over people with him. He isn't the biggest guy on ice but his bodychecking is really good. That combined with his good discipline stat means he isn't going to take unnecessary penalties.

Overall I am pretty confident saying that Manny is going to be among the top 10 players I'll be using this year. He is simply magnificent across the board and is one of the best PK guys NHL17 will see. His price is those 100 DC wins which is a lot but afterwards totally worth it.

Hopefully this helps some of you to decide whether to grind DC or not. My next review is going to be 92 Grossmann so until then have fun out there, it's just a game :)
