[Spoilers] Exotic Khvostov Quest!

So once the serves came back on I asked mods for permision to post as I dismmantled my Khvostov which started the quest and during the next few hours I and a few others who I have given credit to figured out the quest steps so I just updated the post while still playing the game and being all aboard the hype train with no sleep.. It is a beautiful mess and I understand a lot of people are confused about certain steps... u/uponapyre has broken it down into English... Below his post I have left the mess because I love chaos and there are a couple of video clips and screen shots in there that may help people.

Ok, for anyone still confused, here's a simple breakdown of how to do this:

STEP ONE

Either breakdown one of the Khostov's you saved from when you rolled a new character to obtain the schematic, or: Go to the Plaguelands Patrol

Head to The Divide. See this video

Go through the building at the back The Divide (the one that you originally came from at the very start of the game).

Follow the path all the way until you reach the area where you ghost found you right at the start.

You'll see a large Ketch (Fallen Ship) in the distance, run toward it, board it, kill the enemies, open the chest at the back right to discover the Schematic.

STEP TWO

Talk to Shiro at the Iron Temple

Head to The Divide as you did above.

Go to the back left and through the room that originally took you to the Devils Layer strike.

The area has been updated visually, so don't let it confuse you. It's one straight line. Keep going.

On your way you'll see a Triangle Marker appear indicating you need to pick something up. This is WEAPON PART ONE.

Once you have this, keep going forward until you reach the area with the Fallen Tank from the Devils Layer strike.

WEAPON PART TWO is next to the main central building in this area. Again, it will be indicated by a Triangle icon.

STEP THREE

Head to The Divide the same way as before.

As if you were heading toward the Earth Patrol spawn point, head through those tunnels.

WEAPON PART THREE is in the middle of this tunnel area, again indicated by a triangle.

That's it. You'll have all parts. Thank the Iron Lord Go back and talk to Shiro accept the mission kill the major and enjoy your Exotic.

Original edited mess

So I had 3 Khvostov's saved up in my Vault from back in the day (last week as I made the switch from xbox 360)

I decided to dismantle one for science.

Doing so resulted in the Khvostov 7G Schematic.

This inturn made it possible to visit everyones new favourite Exo Shiro-4 to gain a quest called: We Found a Rifle

u/twentybearasses found out how to start the Khvostov quest without dismantling the gun.

While on patrol in the Plaguelands I killed something called a Hive Brood Mother, and she dropped a Splicer Intel Relay. It had instructions to head to the Breach and board the Ketch to kill a Servitor splicing the ship. Upon boarding it, I found the Pilot Servitor waiting for me, and I shot him dead. When I killed him, a chest in the back corner unlocked and gave me the schematic. I have a second one now while I'm still doing the quest. Not making this up.

The quest is as follows;

Collect Pages and Parts

Find manual pages and Khvostov parts on patrol in the plaguelands.

• Find 10 Manual Pages

• Find 3 Khovstov Parts

I guess I need to finish the story to unlock patrol, which I will power threw now and I will update this post with any more steps/the weapon if I unlock it.

Edit: So once you have patrol here is how to find the parts for the quest! Shoutout to u/Azylir

Go to the plague lands and find your way to where you first spawn ever (where your ghost finds you). It's on the ship.

Two are found going through rocket yard towards sepiks prime strike y1. All parts except base part appear as triangles like patrol missions on your map.

Edit I: u/Axcrazycanadian says it is possible to drop the manual pages from splicers during missions... no parts found yet.

Edit II: Unknown how to start quest if you trashed your Khovostov 2 years ago but I recall reading somewhere that it was possible to start/find one in the DLC.

Edit III: I dissmantled a second one to see if it would give a Khovostov part it did not but gave another schematic to start the quest.
