Unsubbed from r/politics and I still have multiple stories on my front page ranging from 2-9 hours old?

What is the deal with this? Did they make it so r/politics shows up more often than other default subs? I finally unsubbed today. Pretty much any story that paints Donald negatively just stays on my front page all day now. All the other default subs that I unsub from never show up on my front page at all.
