They actually made some with a gray case, I believe the Cherry Blues. I also bought a few spares when CM put them on their parts store. So yeah it's just the factory gray soft touch coating painted on.

Thanks, first Topre board I bought after I heard CM was discontinuing and I fell in love! Really helps keep noise levels down.

The aluminum mods look great on that board, if they had a 1.75 shift id be all over them.

I like the metal caps where did you buy them from. And same with your usb cable where did you get that from.

The metal caps are from HolyOOPS but I bought them second hand at the r/mechmarket The USB cable from the first board I bought on Amazon, just some regular Chinese made cable that I coiled myself. The gray one is from u/B1G_B1RD here on reddit.

Interesting, what do you think of the novatouch compared to your MX greens in terms of feel? Which one do you use more?

I've started to lean towards my Novatouch more. I still love clicky keys but for VOIP/Streaming reasons the Novatouch is a sound saver. The greens are heavy and resistant which I love because I tend to hammer the hell out of my keys and rest my fingers on them. The NT is light and linear, like a super high quality membrane or like a Cherry Red with a soft impact. Each key activates right at the top of the stroke so typing so I feel typing is much faster on my NT. I would love to get my hands on MX Clears or Zealios (which I already ordered) to see which I prefer the most. My first mech was an MX Red so I have no problem adjusting to linear keys as much as I do love my Greens I just can't have so much click in my environment.

I'm worried about buying them and having them be beige. I can't tell if it's just bad lightning in the pictures.
Hmm those definitely look beige but it could just be bad camera white balance. Mine are actually white. Afaik there's white and ghost white which is almost translucent from this manufacturer. I believe EnjoyPBT are also gateron. I bought mine from a geekhack group buy by Shadovved.

My favorite keycaps so far granted I have only experienced GMK and whatever CM puts on their boards by default. But there's just something about the smooth slightly grainy texture feeling of these PBTs that's so great, almost like running your finger across fine sand, they give good acoustics too.
