Has anyone had an assessment with Dr. Gurleen Bhatia? Or at least had a recent assessment at the hospital?
Thanks :)

I had an assessment there not long ago but it wasn't with Dr. Bhatia. I felt pretty good about my assessment, although in hindsight I wish I'd been a lot more on point and direct with what I want from them.
Overall it was fine, I just told them how I feel, my current progress and plans and what I wanted from transition and what I need medically. Thankfully only a few weeks before going down to the GIC I had started on HRT through Dr Webberly so I don't feel as reliant on the NHS any more :|
I saw Dr. Bhatia for my 1st assessment in 2014. She was understanding, non-judgemental and friendly. The most important thing to do before going in to that assessment is to know exactly what you want to say/ask - write it all down. Expect to go into your entire life history and cry/get emotional. If this is your first step, embrace it and know that you're on the ladder. It's a long long LONG journey.
I saw Dr Bhatia. She wasn't the most openly friendly person I'd met, but she wasn't judgemental or unkind either. We had a pretty direct conversation through my history, medical and otherwise, and she seemed pretty open to moving forward with treatment and apologetic that they system wasn't faster.
