Twitch name/link?
The 598s are a solid choice. Options under $100:
Closed-back: ATH-M40x
Open-back: SHP-9500
Built-in Mic: HyperX Cloud
$100+ options: Fidelio X2, T20rp mk3 (more bass) / T50rp mk3 (more treble), DT770
If you're not sure whether open-back headphones are for you, the SHP-9500 is a great place to start (only $60).

Open headphones are the best for gaming (mostly for everything for that matter) as long as you use them in a quiet area because you will hear all noise around you with open headphones. You will be able to pinpoint sounds in games much better due to the large soundstage on open headphones.
The Sennheiser HD 598 is a great choice for value but be aware that these don't have a lot of bass especially compared to most "gaming headsets" such as the G933.
If you can wait a month or so the HD 598 might just drop in price because Sennheiser just realesed their new 500 series.
Thank you for that. I actually didn't know open back would be better for gaming. I thought they would be worse due to be able to hear more things around you, outside of what you're listening to.
Edit: I'd actually be buying them for a lower price($180 CAD) anyway from a seller on Kijiji.
How sensitive is your mic? Open headphones leak sound and it's possible that your mic could pick up on some of that sound.
I'm using a blue yeti but I've set a noise gate on OBS because my apartment overlooks a busy street. The noise from the street isn't so bad when my windows are closed though. I didn't actually think about my mic picking up the noise leakage. But if I get them, I'll probably have to fiddle around with the noise gate settings to make sure it doesn't pick it up.
I have the 598s and they're great for gaming. Once things get going you don't hear a lot around you.
They're definitely not as isolating as IEMs or closed back, but with music/game audio at a reasonable level I still don't hear someone talking to me.
As for the bass, it's quite present. I love it. However, it's not the overwhelming, head-rumbling sort. That's one of my complaints about the reviews folks give around here regarding their bass level. It's solid, just not rumbly.
I'm also Canadian, and I think $180 is a bit much for the 598's, I got them on sale brand new for $150 off Amazon.
