Have the devs mentioned dedicated servers at all?

After the terrible experience with P2P gameplay of Vermintide I'm unwilling to shell out any more money for this kind of game without dedicated servers. They were promised but never implemented in Vermintide, so I'm curious to know if the devs have mentioned anything on this topic. The only info I can find is here (http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2016/06/20/e3-2016-space-hulk-deathwing-preview-know-no-fear/#/slide/1) and it makes things look pretty bad ("1 host plus 3 AI or players in local or online co-op"), but that article is talking about the console release.

The devs did state that there will be dedicated servers. I read that on the steam board in a post from one of them like when the game first came out.

I would expect p2p. How good that p2p will be largely depends on your own Internet. I personally never had any lag issues, but that's just my anecdotal evidence.

My internet is perfectly fine. The issue is the host, in most P2P games you don't get to select who the host will be when the game starts so if the host has a poor internet connection or a mediocre computer it will negatively impact the game for everyone.

I would love to see a P2P system where people can vote on who hosts. That way you could at least pick and choose a bit more so the russian with his celeron MMX computer and 56K internet, doesnt become the host.

Didn't L4D have dedicated servers? Why would the spinoff/knockoffs not copy that?

Yeah L4D did. I can only imagine they wouldn't copy it due to the additional cost associated with running dedicated servers.

Vermintide didn't, and that was a huge mistake for them. P2P is shitty in 9/10 games where I've seen it, I really hope they'll have either their own dedicated servers or let players set them up and host.
