My depression
Pressed against a wall of glass
pushing, moving
nowhere.
Friends are out there out of reach
but they see me,
I'm smiling.
Wanting only to join them,
I'm tirelessly
trying.
Dig your heels in,
strain those legs.
The glass will give in
if you don't give up first.
It's pointless, I'm panting.
I want it to be over.
I'm sweating, exhausted.
But on the other side
they see me
silently smiling.
Yet I'm screaming, see me!
I just want you to like me.
In fits and starts
I feel fine,
almost dropping the facade.
But what happens then?
What happens when
they see the real me?
The broken,
the bored,
the boring.
The dumb, the drab, the sometimes mad, the sick, the sad, the sorry.
I'm sick. I'm sick of all the fighting.
I'm sick of lying.
Lying to myself. Lying to my friends. Lying sad, alone in bed.

Although this feeling of not being seen for who you really are, or heard, may seem unique to you. It's not. It's quite common. We all wear our facades. Some of us better than others. Even those friends you see on the other side of the looking glass.
Now that that's out of the way, I found the way you described your fight with depression as a very physical exertion to be intriguing, and all too fitting for the disease.
For the line of "I'm sweating, exhausted." I think the flow would be more natural if the sentence was switched around to "Exhausted, I'm sweating." Maybe you were going for slant rhyme, though.
The flow and alliteration of the line "the dumb, the drab, the sometimes mad, the sick the sad, the sorry," is wonderful. To me, it also kind of emphasizes the frantic feeling of mental illness, and more specifically depression. The anxiety of showing your true self.
Lastly, and this doesn't even have to do with the poem, break the cycle. Do something new. It can be little. It can be big. Just something different. It can make a world of difference. Cheers, and well wishes.
Thank you for sharing.
