Wow, I actually understand this. Wrong segment, this job works with global corporate and middle market clients, ie big companies.
Yeah this position doesn't have anything to do with their consumer or small business cards.
Well, allegedly you have to have an Amex business card to be eligible for the Working Capital Terms program.
Sure, but I'd bet anything that that acts more like internal lead generation than anything else. Still nothing substantively linked to what most on this sub are the interested in.
Are you saying you don't think a person in this position is able to get us info? I don't think "an inside" means that you are running the program in question.
Yes, I do doubt it. Banks run consumer and business sides completely separately and inside info is kept to management. Besides, nobody is going to risk their livelihood on this.
I don't think people fully realize how sprawling of a company Amex is, or maybe how large corporations are organized in general.
I have a very close friend who works for a travel management division completely separate from the financial side. Just because he works for Amex doesn't mean his job puts him any closer to their credit card division than mine.
Agree
If I put 4 years of churning experience on my resume, do you think that would help?
You gotta piss them off enough that they realize they need your help, like in Catch Me If You Can
I think all I will need to do is throw my 27 credit cards on the table, and let it speaks for itself.
That'll be an interesting interview... you're hired!
How many of them would be AMEX? lol
lol. When I applied they asked me if I was a "gamer" during the interview. I said... no.
Should have said pc or console.
Hmm, I wonder what's the story behind that.
I thought "gamers" were the people who buy large purchases to meet min spend, and then refund those items after receiving (and spending) their points?
Oh, I was thinking CS:GO or Dota2 type of gaming.
Lmao me too. I'd respond "Yeah! Just got the prerelease of Gears 4 off Amazon!"
I've also seen the term applied by amex to mean people who carry multiple cards to maximize their return % (ie: card for grocery, card for restaurant, card for gas, etc)

Step 1, Get job Step 2, Get drunk and squeal to reddit Step 3, Hookup with other, drunk AMEX employees Step 4, Profit from insider MR point trading
Option 2: Step 3, Step 2, Step 4 in that order.
....shit I might be somewhat qualified for this
Do it!
Maybe a 200k sign up, blame the typo on an intern, then write it off.
Me too, which bank are you from? I was with bofa for ten years on the global corporate banking side.
the job requirements feel so vague to me. It just all says 'proven' and 'skilled' and 'ability to work cross laterally'. I know years experience doesn't mean shit sometimes but its gotta be better than that
I'd consider it, but the job description doesn't say what the signing bonus is.
"who is comfortable with ambiguity and evolving strategies," aka we don't know what we're doing, hope you're cool with that.
lol, this should've been on my previous employer's job posting.
This should be more reliable than drunk Amex chick lol.
I think she lost her job lol
So this job posting is to replace drunk Amex chick?

I applied for an analyst position at the Hilton Hhonors program office once, but no call back :P
I made the post about us bar crawling for more drunk Amex chicks a week or so ago. I'm gonna feel pretty bad if this opening is because she lost her job over that.
i dont know how they could possibly identify her based on the description of "drunk amex chick", also she didnt even really say anything
She was with coworkers.
(√(-shit))^2
^(shit just got real)
Back story to the drunk amex chick? Must have missed that one, but keep seeing it everywhere
A Redditor supposedly talked to a drunk chick who supposedly worked for Amex and she spilled the beans about something big coming from Amex on a certain date (10/5 I think) which turned out to be a fairly meh offering I believe
Ahh okay. Thanks!
Thought it was some bigger thing, but like amex, was let down.
While it was meh for most people here, the benefit is pretty nice for their target audience - business travelers.
This is how rumors start. In time people are going to be swearing this is what happened.
Did that actually ever happened?
She should avoid getting drunk in the future. All people should
