Thank you. I didn't intend the "proliferation" interpretation, but that's a good reading of it.

This is a cute little poem. Likening a child's snowball to the atomic bomb is funny and conveys the power it has for a child. The progression could also be interpreted as reference to proliferation of more powerful weapons from harmless snowballs to atomic bombs.

Great little poem, kudos.

hmm, interesting. i wonder a little bit what it is about. i enjoyed the end of the poem especially with the quote by oppenheimer. though i am still wondering what the image really is. Unlike the other commentator Id on't feel like it is about bombs, but rather it seems to me like it is more about giving life and being able to take it away.

Maybe I am completely out of the area but for me it is like someone has created life, or rather, children and now with these hands gripping the narrator, the narrator feels that he is responsible for their life. consequently, the narrator is also responsible for the end of their life, or rather death.

what were your thoughts?
