Quick 88 Emery Review

So I wanted to give some different synergies a go since my life doesn't allow me the time to build a solid TW team. I decided to go for 1T, CG, and SB so 88 Emery fit the bill perfectly.

Eventually, when I can afford it, I'll pick up Kolzig and Emery will become backup since they have the same synergies It will give me 1T+4 and CG+4.

So I'm a pretty bad player, Div 9 and have lost probably my last 12 out of 15 games give or take. Blame it on the team, alcohol, whatever.

Anyways, on to the review. I've played 3 games with him now and have gone 2-1. The game I lost was my fault too because I took control of the goalie on a break away and failed (first time trying it).

He was great, solid positioning, not too aggressive. Only goals that went in were one-timers and maybe a point shot, no softies that I can remember.

I can't say for sure that the turn around is completely from 88 Emery as I totally revamped my team in to a more budget defense team with some snipers. Had ~200k after selling all my collectibles as I realized I can build a team with that money instead of getting just Linden. So bought MS Modano and LGD Clark and built from there. So this turned into more of me reviewing my new team more than anything. However, to summarize, I think 88 Emery is worth the 50 DC Collectibles IF he fits your synergies and if you're like me and don't have the time to invest to grind to 100. He won't win every game for you but he isn't a liability at all (yet at least). For me personally I'm getting 88 Malhotra next as he still has amazing FO and is physical.

Over the week and I get a couple more games played with him I'll throw and edit on here and report if there's any change.
