Love this. It's like an E.E. Cummings poem and actually good. Most times I see people reach for something similar to his poetry it usually falls flat but this doesn't at all. It's also not just in the style of his but tackles a subject matter not far removed from his. Simple and utterly relateable.

Had to read it twice to properly get it if I'm honest, the rhythm didn't sit with me the first time but it's short and flowed lovely on second run through. Smashing stuff.

What do you mean by 'strive to grasp an audience'?

I've read some of your previous works on here. You seem to have developed your own sort of style with a lot of vernacular English going on. This is probably only because these kinds of poems aren't very enjoyable to me, but I didn't really have the motivation to actually come back and read it once again after I finished, which may not be a bad thing of course, but strive to grasp an audience.

Interesting. I just don't equate happy with whistling, except maybe in the Disney song. I wonder if that is a byproduct of my urban upbringing.

Oh! and that whistled intro to that old TV show.

To signify a constant cheer, act of whistling every moment the narrator saw this stranger. As he asks/wonders if his demeanor is still the same though he will never know.

I can't quite parse what 'whistler where mouth used to be' means. help?

I'm flattered! More to come, hope you'll keep reading.

I love your shit. thanks a lot for adding ways I wanna write like. Gosh.
