Halloween Ohlund - Quick Review
Finally saved up enough coinage to do the Ohlund set. So far I've been very impressed.
Skating: 10/10
- For a big guy, Ohlund can move. His acceleration is great and his speed allows him to keep up with some of the fastest skaters. I was not expecting this kind of mobility out of him.
Shooting: 6/10
- Ohlund can shoot HARD. The downside of this hard shot comes with the accuracy. With shot accuracy ratings in the low 80s, I was having problems hitting the net where I wanted to, especially on one-timers. Even with a wide open look, I couldn't pick a corner with Ohlund.
Hands: 9/10
- Puck control and passing with Ohlund were never an issue. Everything was crisp and he was able to complete most dekes at good speeds. He was difficult to knock off the puck.
Defense: 10/10
- Ohlund is on my top defensive pairing for a reason. He can shut people down. With his big reach, Ohlund was able to intercept many passes and close lanes. Shot blocking was fine as well. No complaints about his defensive abilities.
Physical: 11/10
- Literal tank on skates. Hits hard. I can't compare to Blake, as I have yet to use him, but Ohlund is a force with the body. Hits harder than Foote for sure. Never took many penalties while checking, either. One of my favorite aspects of this card.
