the greatest thing I took from this was the feeling of a never ending cycle of pain that is reoccurring

Thank you so much! Yeah the title is of bad taste, but I'm not a poet so was a bit apprehensive in posting it anywhere. The title made it easier for me to post it, for fear of it seeming silly i suppose.

When I first saw the title of this poem, I kind of thought it was going to be a bit shitpost-y. I was very pleasantly surprised.

This poem is very simple, yet somehow indescribably powerful. It's giving me emotions, a mix of crippling hopelessness and the slight feeling that maybe things will get a tiny bit better, and I have no clue why. This piece just feels very relatable, maybe due to the fact that it's short and extremely easy to read (I've read it probably 10 more times as I've been writing this review).

I honestly love the feeling of a never-ending cycle here, and how the rhyme at the end loops back around to the rhyme at the beginning. There's something addictive and impactful about it. Maybe it's the looping feeling the poem gives off mixed with the looping rhyme scheme.

Whatever it is, great job on a simple yet powerful poem.

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence. Sorry for the title.

This piece resonates with me, and seems to capture quite well what I've been striving to encapsulate for some time. My only criticism is with the title which initially appeared like clickbait. Though it could hint at part of the story behind the poem and at a crumbling or failing of the norm, and this is a peek behind the facade of poems written. I'd like to believe it is this.
