Requiem Interesting NPCs

So, I've been wondering if the patch for interesting npcs intended to use with 1.8 requiem will work with 1.9 one, also do you think there will be any problems if I install the mod mid-game, I'm level 6, I've killed the first dragon and finished ''first lesson'' in College of Winterhold

I'm level 6, I've killed the first dragon

You mean Irileth killed the first dragon

Indeed wait till he fights Sahloknir.

Excuse me, who do you think was running around distracting the fucker? Yup, it's all me, I'd say I was at least as useful as vanilla follower

Irileth very often is more interested in tying her shoe-laces than killing any dragons and since the guards can't kill the dragon on their own it means you must deal the killing blow yourself.

As long as you've got the novice lightning-spell it is possible to kill the dragon.

As for Sahloknir, by playing hide-and-seek at the bridge into Windhelm it is possible to kill him too at low levels.

Oh and as for Bleak Falls Barrow, a fire-burning wizard should have little problems clearing-out Bleak Falls Barrow, as long as manages to kill the bandits.

I'm using the 1.8 patch with 1.9 right now and haven't experienced any problems. Don't know about installing mid-game, though. It's a pretty huge mod so I'd be wary of doing it. If you do make sure to keep some backup saves!

At level 6 he might as well restart... And you are right, the patch works, there were no changes in that area between 1.8 and 1.9.

=D

How? Did you just cheese the Barrow with the golden claw?

Bleak Falls Barrow has two road-blocks, the bandits on the road and just inside and later on the spider.

Now by "cheese" do you mean stand long away and just dodge all arrows/bolts until the bandits has used-up all their ammunition and attacks you with their dagger, then yes, of course, this is a fairly common tactic against all the bandits in Requiem.

The spider is a big roadblock, unless you're a mage or uses a bow/crossbow.

The draugr? A fire-burning mage has little problems killing draugr, as long as don't meet any shouting ones and very often where's only the two shouting draugr in the last room + possibly the boss at the end. Thankfully the draugr using bows shoots so weak that even as a mage + mage-armour it's normally possible to survive a single hit.

For warriors, a silver greatsword works wonders on draugr - but in practice I would highly recommend you're at least level-25 in two-handed.

As long as you're not running headlong into the last room and get 10+ draugr after you, most of the time you'll have 2 draugr at once after you and even for a slow-moving, heavy-armoured warrior killing a pair of draugr with a silver greatsword isn't so difficult.

When it comes to Bleak Falls Barrow I didn't cheese it or anything, I had to take a few tries when it came to bandits, same with draugr. I got pretty lucky and I found frost staff that deals 70 dmg (don't remember the name of the spell) earlier on, so the spider wasn't that big of a deal, although if I didn't find it I probably wouldn't be able to beat it

I'm using 1.8 with 1.9 and haven't had any problems at all. Not one.

Don't know about installing it mid-game, but I definitely wouldn't - it's a pretty massive mod that adds a lot of NPCs and quests. And since you're only level six, would you get rather restart now or find a game-breaking issue at level 20...?
