Thanks mate, that's largely the spirit in which it was written, though I do actually intend for it to largely make sense.

It would've been cool if it made sense.  It would've been cool if this country weren't so divided.  It would've been cool if America had taken the right side of history instead of winding the clock back 20 years.

That's what this poem means to me.

Thanks Lana. I actually had not heard of the Proncipa Discordia before. I now need to own it though. I do think I and this piece am more pessimistic than The Mountain, as I seriously considering the end of the world through environmental or nuclear destruction as having pretty good betting odds.

There are three kinds of people in the world: 

- (1) Those who read the Principia Discordia and realize it's nonsense.

- (2) Those who read the Principia Discordia and understand it because they were insane in the first place.

- (3) Those who read the Principia Discordia and learn how to understand it, but are driven insane by the experience.

This is the poem form of the Principia Discordia.  Everything my poem, [The Mountain](https://www.reddit.com/r/OCPoetry/comments/5c4jq2/the_mountain/), is in principle and texture and mood and content, this piece is its polar opposite.  

And yet, I feel both pieces arrive paradoxically at the same solutions and conclusions.   I wonder which of the three I am.  I wonder which of the three you are.  

Thanks gwrgwir. It was not intended as nonsense, but I'm pretty sympathetic if readers think its not worth their time to puzzle it out. And yeah, it is in response to /u/ActualNameIsLana's piece. And I did make sure that there aren't any typos. (An anecdote I like, the details of which I've entirely forgotten: a professor of literature had a student come to her excitedly announcing a new edition of *Ulysses*. The student gushed, "They've corrected more than two hundred typographical errors!" To which she responded, "How could anyone tell?")

I'm going to assume that this piece is written in response to (or as a companion piece to) Lana's *The Mountain*.  I don't think it's nonsense at all, though it does take careful and multiple read-throughs to start picking out the message, and the key to that is in lines 2-4 with the reverse reddit formatting link mix. Given your writing style, I'm also going to assume that all the misspellings are intentional - maybe as a sort of tripping down the mountain or as handholds in climbing?  

I'm pretty lost on interpretation, as I can only make the message out (sporadically) to about 3/4 the way through, but wanted to comment and say your efforts aren't lost on everyone.

This is the kind of thing that gives modern art a bad name. I'm sorry, but your "poem" is nonsense. If you want to demonstrate that reality is chaos, well, just turn on the news. I do like triangles though. Geometrical shapes are pretty.
