I know that class popularity doesn't really matter in this game, but I'm a hipster who hates playing the same class as everyone else. That being said, what're the least popular dps classes? Ideally it would be something that takes some skill to use when soloing as opposed to my GF that just facetanks everything.

Yep this pretty much sums it. I pug a lot on xbox one and never run into high il pve trs. Tons of sws and gwfs, with some runs haVing two or three gwfs. Looking at my guild yesterday and there was one pve tr on at any given time (me) and I saw one pvp tr.
There are a few TR in our guild, but it takes a specific rotation done right in order to get any decent dps results, I run with an equal IL SW and on a castle never run Im usually 10mil ahead of him on DPS
Tho I have noticed running with other TR from the guild I usually double them in DPS so I wonder what other TRs are doing, they are giving us a bad name lol
I had all sorts of runs yesterday against 3.5k or higher (some 4k) sws and gwfs and beat them all. But playing against a 4k sw using tc as it stands on xboxone and I have zero chance.
As an example, I ran etos (my tr is 3.9k right now with rank 12 bondings) with a 3.7k sw and a 3.8k gwf. When we entered the spider the sw was at 41 mil, the gwf 39 mil and me at 37 or 38 mil (estimates). At the end of the fight I was 57 mil, the gwf like 2 mil behind me at 55 mil and the sw at 90 mil. It was super fast but that tc just cannot be beat.
That gwf was poorly geared then with that dmg at the end of etos, lol.
I'm a 2600 iL TR and I max at 100 million in Tiamat. Playing TR isn't easy. Lots of finesse. Less about intimately knowing your build and more about knowing what your build does and why you do what you do. Mobs - that's where I shine - over 100k power (will be closer to 200k after 2RP weekend). Single targets - I shine there too - but I don't get near to 100k power, only about 50-60k.
Everyone is different and everyone has limits on their knowledge of the TR class. I have mine. I am sure there is a TR out there who just beasts at the same item level as I am.
TR's are also extremely expensive. When you start hitting mid 3500's and close to 4k - you are a GOD! Saw a 4.2k iL TR in the wild and I inspected and screen shot'ed his entire build.
Tiamat is a tough number to compare. I'm nearly always top 3 but can range from 85m-125m depending on the group. If I hit 125m am I awesome, or did I just run with a weaker group?
SW is in the worst place of all the DPS classes. Healer would be the least played class overall I would say.
On PS/XBone SWs are in a great place. On PC not so much, they're still usable but don't have the awesomeness we know and love.

It's easy to beat any of those on a TR... The impossible to catch change sucked but tr is in a pretty good spot overall.
This just isn't correct. I play a bunch and am 25oo iL I know my class and build, run TC, and the such. At 25oo iL I am out DPS's by all the dps classes at same level. Not sure if it widens much after the 3k mark is hit but its not the case at 2500 iL. Im mainly using Elol as the measuring stick. Im always 3rd in DPS with same or near item level guys.

Honestly? I think the TR and CW are probably the least populated DPS class currently. GWF is the flavor of the last couple mods and the most powerful, and a ton of people were riding the SW train to exploited greatness. Not to mention that HR's are pretty popular with new folks just because a lot people love the archer in these sort of games. (Can't tell you how many times I've seen the name Legolas...)
I dunno, I find CWs extremely common. To the point that my guildies do all-CW "challenge" runs :) Us TRs, on the other hand, fewer and farther between. HR I think is also as scarce.
As far as finding Hr's, there are plenty. Finding good Hr's is pretty rare.
